BLESSED!

I woke up this morning reflecting on the greatness of my Heavenly Father. There are moments that I become aware of His Presence in the midst of all the worlds noise and it always overwhelms me. Such love and compassion God has for us! If it were possible for us to become completely aware of His Intense Presence in our life, I don’t believe we would be able to do anything but fall at His feet in wonder.

As I began to go about my morning I picked up my Bible and began to read sixty third Psalms. I want to share some thoughts on those scriptures:

Psalm 63 (The Message Bible)
A David Psalm, When He Was out in the Judean Wilderness
1 God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you!
I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.

It’s amazing how much I hunger for God in those times of dry and weary deserts! I am like everyone else in that I really don’t enjoy going through the bad stuff in life. But it amazes me how much my love for God GROWS in those times. It is through the tough times that I feel, more than ever before, God’s hand on my shoulder walking me through. Even in complete darkness, I hear Him breathing and know He is with me! Like David, I can’t get enough!

2-4 So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

5-8 I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy;
I smack my lips. It’s time to shout praises!
If I’m sleepless at midnight,
I spend the hours in grateful reflection.
Because you’ve always stood up for me,
I’m free to run and play.
I hold on to you for dear life,
and you hold me steady as a post.

That tells it ALL! I can  Worship and ‘drink in’ His Strength and Glory. Because He is watching over me, I am like a free innocent child who frolics in the park under the careful watchful eyes of their parents, I am free to ‘run and play!’
